What a horrible list of decisions

2022: 

-Traded Khalil Mack…got 2nd round pick for inconsistent and often injured safety Jaquan Brisker. Mack would go on for 31 sacks and a Pro Bowl season and still a cornerstone piece of the Chargers.

-Larry Ogunjobi contract fiasco: Signed to a big deal before failing his physical — an embarrassing start to his tenure.

-Neglected offense in draft: Passed on desperately needed WR/OL help, choosing DBs in R2. Later pick Velus Jones Jr. (WR, 25 y/o rookie) flopped.

-Roquan Smith trade: Couldn’t secure an extension, dealt him to Ravens; he became centerpiece of their elite defense. He would be named all Pro every season. Bears ended up with Gervon Dexter…and Noah Sewell…

2023

-Traded pick 32 for Chase Claypool…do I need to list more?

-Let David Montgomery walk for no compensation. 

-Signed Nate Davis. Do you remember how horrible he was?

2024

-Kept Eberflus (this is a fireable offense on its own)

-Hired Shane Waldron…multiple other staff got fired or let go because of ”HR” issues 

-Replaced Darnell Mooney with Keenan Allen at a cost of a 4th round pick 

-Drafted Caleb Williams instead of Jayden Daniels…also a terrible process according to Tyler Dunne

-Used a 4th round pick on an average punter…p.s. Bucky Irving was picked 2 spots after Tory Taylor…

-Traded for Ryan Bates and made no other moves to fix a terrible offensive line…

-Picked Rome Odunze…passed on Jared Verse or any other defensive or offensive lineman (Rome might end up being good...but he needs to be a Pro Bowler at pick no. 9 and his contributions need to help us win...not pad stats for a losing team throwing all day.

-in a historically rich RB free agent class…he picked the worst one…Swift (Henry, Barkley, A Jones, Josh Jacobs)

2025 so far….

RB room: passed on top tier RB prospects to leave us with Swift and a cloud of dust

Use of Draft Capital: …spent pick 10 on a TE2…pick 39 on WR4…0/4 top 64 picks with any impact…drafted 0 quality DBs

Free Agency: Signed Colts bum DE and 33 year old Jarret to help our line which sucks…added 0 DB depth…

Traded for the privilege of paying Jonah Jackson 17.5 million to commit holding penalties and get walked into the QB (he has the 4th highest cap hit on the team)

FYI: Montez Sweat is #1...he has 2 QB hits through 2 games...in 2025
